THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. by videophone.
The Ile-de-France Group of the Association Aéronautique et Astronautique de France (3AF), in partnership with the "Centre" group of 3AF and the Groupement des Ingénieurs et Cadres Supérieurs de l'Aviation Civile (GIACRE), offers you a lecture entitled " AVIONS ET AUTOMOBILES GABRIEL VOISIN ". The talk is given by Véronique BRUNET, PhD in Art History and Architecture from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, 1993, and former professor of the Design and Architecture master's program at ESAM Design et Architecture.
Abstract In 1908, Gabriel Voisin was the first to build an aeroplane capable of flying autonomously in a closed circuit over a distance of one kilometer. This feat ushered in the era of modern aviation. In 1919, after supplying the first aircraft for the Great War, the industrialist turned to car manufacturing. His cars, with their revolutionary mechanics and futuristic shapes, became a highly sought-after luxury. A visionary inventor, he bequeathed an exceptional technical heritage that has inspired several generations of engineers.
The conference is free, open to all, andregistration is MANDATORY to receive connection information and to inform you of any postponements or schedule changes.
