Areas of activity:
The commission's field of activity is that of structural materials, which are used for structures as well as for propulsion units and mechanical assemblies. These include composite and metallic materials used on aircraft, helicopters, launchers, missiles, satellites and equipment. The commission brings together partners from industry, materials manufacturers and aeronautics manufacturers, as well as partners from the academic world. Its activities cover both materials (intrinsic properties of materials in relation to the way they are produced) and processes (welding, draping, surface treatment, shaping, etc.) that enable the production of aeronautical components.) used to produce finished parts.
Activities :
- Regular meetings ;
- 1 to 2 theme days per year;
- A "Materials" symposium in odd-numbered years, corresponding to the years when the Paris Air Show is held at Le Bourget.
