Matinales of the 3AF Ile-de-France Group

The Île-de-France group offers its members a debate with experts on:

DAY-TO-DAY MANAGEMENT OF FLIGHT OPERATIONS AT AN AIRPORT

In Europe, the high density of air traffic makes the safe and efficient implementation of daily flight operations a complex task. Unforeseen events such as technical breakdowns, adverse weather conditions or operational hazards can rapidly disrupt the network, leading to delays, diversions or flight cancellations.

To meet these challenges, the players in the air transport industry (air traffic control, airports, airlines, ground handlers, etc.) work together through the CDM (Collaborative Decision Making) process.

Thanks to this tool, and in coordination with Eurocontrol, all partners have a common vision of the traffic forecast and can make concerted decisions. Users benefit from up-to-date information on traffic conditions, enabling them to anticipate and adapt to any changes in their journey.

The morning session will cover the history and objectives of the CDM, its players, resources, results and outlook.

Procedure: the first part of the Matinale (around 40 minutes) will take the form of a debate between the experts, with a non-specialist moderator leading the discussion. The second part will be open to participants, who will be able to intervene directly via audio [1] to make comments, share their experience, clarify a point of view or ask questions. The moderator will manage participants' contributions, respecting as far as possible the chronology of "raised hands". Maximum interactivity will be sought to make the debate as lively as possible.
