Reusable launchers

Organised by "Space transportation"

Space Transportation

Reusing launch vehicles is a major challenge for space transportation. Operational between 1981 and 2011 with the US Space Shuttle, then back in the spotlight since the successful recovery of the first stage of a Space-X Falcon 9 launcher in 2015, launcher reuse is a multi-faceted competitive factor. What are the different recovery strategies? What technologies need to be mastered? What are the strategic stakes? This conference will shed light on these questions and present the activities underway in France and Europe to meet this challenge.
